The L.B. Wallace Baseball Team appeared to be in prime position to advance at the ACCC State Baseball Tournament on Tuesday morning.
Then, the rains came and everything changed. Leading 5-1 when their game with Chattahoochee Valley was delayed for two hours, the Saints fell apart after the stoppage.
Once play resumed, the Pirates stormed back to tie the game and force extra innings. It lasted 14 innings, before Pat Olvaney won it with a walk-off two-run homer, helping CVCC keep it's season alive, and eliminating L.B. Wallace from the bracket.
