Auburn dropped game two of their series to Florida 10-1 at Plainsman Park. The Tigers' NCAA hopes continue to erode.
The Gators (40-15, 18-11 SEC) have now outscored the Tigers (29-26, 12-17) 16-1 in two games and will go for the sweep Saturday at 1 p.m.
Auburn has already qualified for the SEC tournament beginning May 22nd but Friday's loss ensured the Tigers the 10th and final seed.
Auburn starter Daniel Koger (3-5) allowed six runs on five hits and three walks in two innings, as the Tigers fell into an early hole for the second game in a row.
After managing three hits on Thursday, the Tigers had only two Friday night.
Florida starter Brian Johnson struck out seven in seven innings. Relievers Daniel Gibson and Ryan Harris finished the game.
Auburn hasn't announced a starter for Saturday's game, although No. 1 starter Jon Luke Jacobs threw only 33 pitches on Thursday and could still be available.
