Dothan Hires Emanuel Brown As Boys Basketball Coach

Dothan High school has a new boys basketball coach and it's Emanuel Brown.

Brown, a 1991 graduate of Northview High School, takes over a Tigers program after spending the last 8 years coaching Houston County.

During his time at Houston County the Lions won 20 or more games in each of the last six years. Brown coached Houston County to a school record 30-win season in 2008-09.

The Lions were 168-78 overall in his eight years, which was highlighted by a Class 2A state runner-up finish in 2009-10.

Brown was an assistant coach at Beverlye Middle School in Dothan for a season and was an assistant coach for two years at Northview before going to Houston County.
