The State softball tournament got underway at Lagoon Park Thursday and 3 local teams: Geneva, Pleasant Home and Kinston won both opening-round games.

Friday, May 18th 4 more local teams begin their quest for a state title. Dothan, Houston Academy, Headland and Goshen play their opening round games. Below is a list of the class brackets and Friday's schedule.
