The Circle City Classic will return to Dothan later this week. For the 14th straight year, Post 12 will welcome some of the top American Legion teams in the southeast to Northcutt and Pitman Fields.

This year's tournament features traditional powers like Tuscaloosa Post 34 and Columbiana Post 131, as well as quality local teams like the Opp Dixie Majors and the Wiregrass Sports Academy.

Post 12 Head Coach Larry Tubbs says this year's tournament is wide open, with several teams in position to make a run at the title on Sunday.

"it usually turns out to be a really successful tournament," Tubbs said. "A lot of good clubs come in and it's no different this year. We've got good, outstanding legion teams coming to Dothan."

"It will be exciting, fun and I'm kind of looking forward to getting it started."

Post 12 will play it's first game at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, facing the Wiregrass Sports Academy at Northcutt Field. The tournament wraps up on Sunday with the championship game at 4 p.m.
