Scott also set a new Troy record as he booted a 52-yard field goal at Florida Atlantic to surpass Ted Clem's 50-yard field goal to win the 1984 national championship as the longest in school history.
Scott tied a Troy single-game record with four field goals against Arkansas State and kicked a game-winning 42-yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining against FIU. Scott, who was 4-of-5 from 40-49 yards out, finished the 2012 season with the third most made field goals and third-best field goal percentage in school history.
Troy hosts South Alabama on Saturday at noon in Veterans Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised live on the Sun Belt Network (CSS/CST).
