TROY, Ala. – First-year head coach Chanda Rigby and the Troy women’s basketball program rounded out their 2012-13 roster on Thursday with the signing of O’Neal Session and Jada Williams.
Also joining the program as a walk-on will be Jakeithia Ware, the younger sister of former Troy football great and 2012 Troy Sports Hall of Fame inductee DeMarcus Ware.
Session comes to Troy after two years in the junior college ranks while Williams and Ware join the Trojans after successful in-state high school careers at Jeff Davis and Auburn, respectively.

O’Neal Session | 6-0 | F | Boston, Mass. (Chipola College)
Session comes to Troy after averaging 8.8 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game with Chipola College last season in Florida’s Panhandle Conference. The six-foot forward helped the Indians to a 19-11 overall record while playing in the same league’s as Rigby’s Pensacola State squad.
A Boston native, Session landed at Chipola after her freshman season at Garden City Community College in Kansas. While at Garden City, Session led the Broncbusters with 9.1 points per game.
“O'Neal's athletic ability is going to be dynamite in the Sun Belt conference,” said Troy assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Kayla Ard. “Everytime she touches the ball something good happens; whether it be her scoring, getting a steal, or creating an opportunity for one of her teammates to score. Signing her was huge for us and we are really counting on her to be a scorer for the Trojans.”
Jada Williams | 5-7 | G | Montgomery, Ala. (Jeff Davis HS)
Williams comes to Troy after leading Jeff Davis High School to the AHSAA 6A Central Regional in 2012. Williams averaged 15.5 points per game for the Lady Vols as a senior and was named to the Montgomery Advertiser All-Metro team for her efforts.
She was also named to the South roster at the AHSAA All-Star Sports Week after averaging 8.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds as a senior.
Williams is rated as a three-star prospect by ESPN.com and was a three-year member of the Alabama Roadrunners of the AAU.
“Jada has a great ability to score the ball,” Ard said. “She plays extremely hard which helps her to pick up loose balls and create more opportunities to score or help her teammates score. She is a great teammate and has good energy on the floor. We are very excited to have her joining the New Era family.”
Jakeithia Ware | 5-6 | G | Auburn, Ala. (Auburn HS)
Ware comes to Troy after a successful career at Auburn High School where she averaged 10.0 points per game as a senior while being named to the Opelika-Auburn News All-Area first team.
She will look to continue a Ware tradition at Troy that was started by her older brother, DeMarcus, a six-time Pro Bowl selection for the Dallas Cowboys.
