Troy Lands New Radio Home in Montgomery

TROY, Ala. – Troy football will have a new radio home in the state’s capital as 50,000-watt WXFX joins the Troy IMG Sports Network for the 2012 season, Troy announced Wednesday. WXFX 95.1 FM the Fox will broadcast all of Troy’s football games in addition to the weekly Trojan Talk coaches show each Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

“It is such an exciting time for Troy University Athletics as they grow into a true national sports contender, and we at WXFX are proud to be a part of this new era and bring their games to our audience,” 95.1 the Fox Program Director Rick Hendrick said.

95.1 the Fox has been serving Central Alabama since 1989 and is the first station in the Montgomery market to broadcast fully in high definition. In addition to being an affiliate partner with Troy, the Fox is also the home to the John Boy and Billy Show.
