MOBILE, Alabama -- Defensive end Troy Davis said he and his Troy University teammates are treating Saturday's regular-season finale at Middle Tennessee with a different slant than other games.
"Coming into it, we're looking at it as a playoff system and that's how we're going to approach it,'' the Perry, Ga., senior said this week. "You either win or go home.''
That pretty much sums up the approach of the entire Troy team, which enters the game against the rival Blue Raiders needing a victory to secure a 6-6 regular season record, which would avoid back-to-back losing seasons. It won't be an easy task, even though the Trojans have won the past six meetings against Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders have a balanced team, a strong offensive attack and have something to play for as well -- staying alive int he Sun Belt Conference championship race.
