TROY, Ala. – The nation’s longest home winning streak will be on the line this weekend as No. 25 Troy plays host to Arkansas State in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at Riddle-Pace Field. Troy has won 16 straight games at home, including 10 straight Sun Belt Conference games. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Troy (35-13, 16-8 Sun Belt) enters the weekend a game behind South Alabama for second place in the Sun Belt standings with two weeks to play; the Jaguars are at third-place Louisiana-Lafayette this weekend.
The Trojans’ weekend rotation of Tanner Hicks, Shane McCain and Ryan Sorce enter the series with the Red Wolves (24-25, 10-14) with a combined 21-3 record to go along with a 3.53 ERA, 190 strikeouts and just 42 walks in 194 innings of work.
Hicks (7-2, 3.94) will get the start for Troy in the opener while Arkansas State will counter with right-hander Daniel Wright (5-4, 3.74). McCain (8-1, 3.72) is scheduled to start on Saturday for the Trojans and Sorce (6-0, 2.47) will get the call in the finale. The Red Wolves have not announced a starting pitcher for the final two games in the series.

Troy will honor its nine seniors in a special ceremony prior to Sunday’s game; Ryan Brady, Brandon Brown, Joe Hernandez, Josh McDorman, William Teal, Cass Abercrombie, Nate Hill, Thomas Austin and Logan Pierce will all be playing in their final home series.
