TROY, Ala. – Troy's football season opener at UAB on Aug. 30 in Legion Field will kickoff at 11 a.m. and be televised by Fox College Sports, Conference USA announced Thursday afternoon.
Troy has won three straight and four of the past five games against its in-state rival, with the lone loss a controversial 1-point defeat in 2010. The Trojans lead the overall series with the Blazers 7-4 and the teams have split the six meetings at Legion Field.
This will mark the second straight 11 a.m. kickoff for Troy and UAB at Legion Field. The Trojans defeated the Blazers 39-29 in the 2012 season opener with an 11 a.m. start time.
Kickoff times have now been established for 10 of Troy's 12 games this season; the only two games without a start time are Troy's contests against South Alabama and Georgia Southern on ESPNU.
Season tickets for Troy's six home games are available for purchase online, via the phone or in person. Season ticket prices start as low as $60 for general admission seats and $115 for reserved seats. Some seat locations include a tax-deductible Trojan Seat License that also enrolls the seat holder in the Trojan Warrior Fund.
Fans can either purchase season tickets online at TroyTrojans.com, by calling 1-877-878-WINS (9467) or in person in the Tine Davis Fieldhouse.
