MOBILE, Alabama -- There's still a long way to go in the college baseball season, but that doesn't stop a good dose of speculation. And according to PerfectGame.org, if the NCAA Division I baseball national tournament's field of 64 had been announced on Thursday, Alabama, South Alabama and Troy would all be in the tournament.
The Perfectgame.org projections have South Alabama as the No. 2 seed in a regional played at LSU. Alabama is a No. 3 seed in a regional at North Carolina and Troy is projected as a No. 3 seed at a regional at South Carolina.
Troy is listed as one of the last five teams in the bracket, but the Trojans (and the Sun Belt Conference) received some praise from the web site.
