AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- It won't be a surprise if freshmen play key roles when Auburn and No. 24 Mississippi play.

Both teams have relied heavily on their prized recruits going into Saturday night's game.

The Rebels' impact freshmen are led by defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche, wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and safety Tony Conner.

Auburn is relying heavily on defensive linemen Montravius Adams, Elijah Daniel and Carl Lawson and wide receiver Marcus Davis among others.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn says it shows he and Rebels counterpart Hugh Freeze are "not scared to play freshmen right off the bat, especially if they're talented enough."

Both freshman groups are dealing with their first college defeats. Freeze says he hopes Ole Miss players see that "our coaches just don't blink."
