OPELIKA, Alabama -- Two months after being relieved of her duties as Auburn's softball coach, Tina Deese has found a new job as a physical education teacher and assistant coach at nearby Beauregard High School, reports The Opelika-Auburn News.
"After doing something for as long as I have, because even beyond my Auburn years, I spent eight years of doing nothing but coaching softball, that's all I've known," Deese told the O-A News.
"So the challenges are big, but I'm looking forward to giving back to the community. And I'm looking forward to hopefully passing on what I know about my sport, what I know about physical education, onto Beauregard High School."
She will reportedly be an assistant on the volleyball and softball teams at Beauregard.
