AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Auburn's Bruce Pearl is busy filling out his coaching staff while his assistants work on the roster.
The Tigers' new coach has met with former Auburn players Chuck Person, Mamadou N'diaye and Gerald White about openings on his staff.
Pearl says he'll interview at least another half dozen "really strong candidates" starting Wednesday at the Final Four. He's barred by the NCAA from recruiting players until Aug. 24.
Person and N'diaye were in the basketball offices Tuesday afternoon when Pearl spoke to The Associated Press.
The Tigers have two scholarships available for a roster with only two returning starters, Tahj Shamsid-Deen and KT Harrell.
Pearl says those are clearly his best returning players but also ran down the rest of the roster's strengths and areas for improvement.
