Auburn's Dee Ford Hopes to Finish Stellar Season With BCS Championship

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- Auburn defensive end Dee Ford isn't just the Tigers' best defender.

He's also a pretty good piano player who plays for his church on Sundays and once sang in his family's gospel band.

The versatile Ford will target Florida State's Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston in Monday night's BCS title game. In the meantime, he might be found playing the piano alone in the team hotel into the night.

Ford says, "I always get lost while I'm playing, and I forget where I am."

Opposing quarterbacks must be aware of where he is.

The first-team All-Southeastern Conference lineman ranks second in the SEC in sacks per game, racking up 8.5 despite missing the first two games with a sprained left knee. He's made huge plays against Georgia and Texas A&M.
