Auburn sophomore quarterback Kiehl Frazier completed 11 passes during his first career start. 10 of those went to Emory Blake, Philip Lutzenkirchen and Onterio McCalebb.
Quan Bray's eight-yard grab was the only reception outside of the Tigers big three. The Auburn coaching staff knows that has to change.
And, Head Coach Gene Chizik believes it will, because the Tigers have plenty of players who can make an impact outside of Blake, Lutzenkirchen and McCalebb.
"I think it's very important," Chizik said. "I think we have to develop a trust that our other receivers are capable of making plays. We have confidence in our other guys. We have to get them the ball, and they have to show on game day right now that they can do something with the ball in their hands."
Auburn's next chance to find new playmakers on offense will come Saturday in Starkville. Mississippi State will host the Tigers at 11 a.m. on ESPN.
