Wenonah point guard Justin Coleman has committed to Alabama. The rising senior tweeted this morning that he had committed to play for Anthony Grant after his senior year.
Coleman averaged 21 points, eight assists and 4. 2 assists per game as a junior at Wenonah, leading the Dragons to a third-straight Class 5A state championship.
He earned Class 5A All-State point guard honors and is believed to be Alabama's first verbal commitment for the Class of 2014.
The 5'10, 155 pound floor general has his game compared most to Chris Paul.
He's not the most physical guard but his court vision, awareness and ball-handling ability separate him from other smaller point guards.
Coleman transferred to Wenonah during his sophomore year at John Carroll. He had to sit out the remainder of his 10th-grade season.
Rivals.com rates Coleman as a four-star prospect. They regard him as the No. 92 player in the nation for the Class of 2014. Scout.com has the four-star at No. 81 overall.
