Two Alabama Players Suspended for the Sugar Bowl

(DOTHAN) Alabama suspended linebacker Xzavier Dickson and running back Alvin Kamara for the Sugar bowl.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban announced the suspensions after Thursday's practice. Saban. No specific reason was given for the player suspensions.

Dickson saw action in all 12 games this season as a reserve behind Denzel Devall. The junio had 13 tackles, two for a loss and a sack.

Kamara is a four-star prospect from Norcross, Ga., who never saw the field.

This is the second consecutive year in which Saban has suspended two players before a bowl game. Freshman linebackers Dillon Lee and Ryan Anderson were sent home from Miami three days before the BCS National Championship because of a curfew violation.
