SEC Weekly Awards - 9/3/2012

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore is the Southeastern Conference offensive player of the week.

Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner earned the defensive honor while Missouri punt return man Marcus Murphy is special teams player of the week.

The SEC named its winners Monday.

Lattimore rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns against Vanderbilt in his first game back from an October knee injury.

Milliner deflected four passes and had a 35-yard interception return in the Crimson Tide's win over Michigan.

Murphy returned two punts for touchdowns against Southeastern Louisiana.

Tennessee guard Zach Fulton is the offensive lineman of the week.

Mississippi end C.J. Johnson and Arkansas end Chris Smith shared defensive line honors. Tailbacks Todd Gurley of Georgia and T.J. Yeldon of Alabama are co-freshmen of the week.
