TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Jeremy Shelley's perfect 2012 season at Alabama didn't go unnoticed.
The former Crimson Tide kicker who didn't miss a single extra point or field goal attempt last season has signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons, his parents, Barry and Barbara, announced in an e-mail to AL.com.
Shortly after last month's NFL Draft came to an end, Shelley considered an offer to attend the Houston Texans' rookie camp, but the offer from the Falcons "seemed to fit his and their needs best," his parents wrote in the e-mail.
