TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Four players finished with double-figure points as the Alabama women’s basketball team beat Jacksonville, 75-62, in front of a packed house of fifth graders at Foster Auditorium on Tuesday morning. With the win, the Crimson Tide improves to 5-5 on the season, while the loss drops the Dolphins to 3-5.
Shafontaye Myers led the way for Alabama with a season-high tying 20 points, 12 of which came from three-point range. She was followed by Ashley Williams with 15, Daisha Simmons, with 13 and Khadijah Carter with 10. Williams also pulled down a career-best and game-high nine rebounds in the victory.
Alabama plays its final game for breaking for the holidays on Friday, Dec. 20, hosting Troy at Foster Auditorium. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. CT.
