TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Former Alabama guard Trevor Lacey will resume his college basketball career at North Carolina State, according to a report.

Lacey announced in April that he intended to transfer after two seasons with the Crimson Tide. He has told Pack Pride that he has sent his paperwork to North Carolina State, where former Alabama coach Mark Gottfried will be entering his third season.

"The coaches were real happy to get my papers, making it official," Lacey told the affiliate. "I have a really good relationship with the coaches at NC State, and I think it's a place that I fit in really well at."

Lacey will have to sit out the upcoming season but then will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
