Alabama picked up one of its biggest commitments yet for the 2013 recruiting class when Monaca, Pennsylvania wide receiver Robert Foster chose the Crimson Tide over hometown favorite Pittsburgh in a press conference at Central Valley High School.
Foster, a five-star prospect according to all four major recruiting services, is regarded by some analysts as the top wide receiver prospect in the nation for the class of 2013. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound star, played a number of different roles for his Central Valley High School team this season, hauling in 45 catches for 756 yards and 14 touchdowns as a receiver in addition to rushing 67 times for 549 yards and another 12 touchdowns. Foster also hauled in four interceptions on defense.
