TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Tailback Eddie Lacy headlines a deep Alabama backfield this season.

Lacy is set to make his first start for the second-ranked Crimson Tide Saturday night against No. 8 Michigan. He follows stars Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram, who were national champions and Heisman Trophy finalists in their first seasons as starters.

Ingram won the award in 2009.

Lacy says he and fellow running backs T.J. Yeldon and Dee Hart don't talk much about trying to uphold that standard.

He also isn't saying much about his health. Lacy missed spring practice after recovering from turf toe surgery and was somewhat limited in preseason camp with knee and ankle injuries.

Lacy has averaged 7.1 yards on 151 carries the past two seasons with 13 touchdowns.
