TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Former Alabama safety Vinnie Sunseri performed Tuesday before NFL scouts aiming to show his knee is healthy.
Sunseri participated in the Crimson Tide's second pro day, nearly six months after surgery on his left knee. He says he bench-pressed 225 pounds 21 times and was clocked anywhere from 4.48-4.52 in the 40.
Left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio and guard Anthony Steen also were among those participating. Steen missed the first pro day while recovering from shoulder surgery, while Kouandjio was trying to improve some of his combine numbers.
Sunseri left school after his junior season despite missing the final six games and being projected as a late-round pick or free agent.
He feels he "showed that the knee was good" with his pro day performance.
