TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama's Derrick Henry and O.J. Howard are hoping to turn their flashy moments as freshmen into bigger sophomore years.
Henry is a 6-foot-3, 238-pound tailback who had a huge Sugar Bowl performance. Howard is a tight end who flashed impressive speed on a long touchdown catch against LSU.
Both were among the nation's most coveted recruits.
Howard says both players had flashes as freshmen "but this year we can become an all-around player at both our positions and be consistent with our play."
Henry has drawn rave reviews this spring from coach Nick Saban, who says his up and coming tailback is having "a fabulous spring." He could join the ranks of star Tide backs like Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy as part of a tandem with Yeldon.
