LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Notre Dame defensive coordinator Bob Diaco, Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and Alabama special teams coach Bobby Williams are among the 29 nominees for the 2012 Broyles Award, the honor handed out to the country's top assistant football coach.
The award is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Little Rock and is named for longtime Arkansas football coach and athletic director Frank Broyles. It's presented each year to the top assistant coach in college football.
Other nominees include Ohio State offensive line coach Ed Warriner, Florida defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and Arkansas State offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Rhett Lashlee.
Five finalists will be announced Monday and the award will be presented Tuesday in Little Rock.
LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis was the 2011 winner.
