Alabama prospects headed to Chicago for Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge

It was not yet 7 a.m. on Friday when Auburn commitment Tre Williams posted his first tweet of the day.

Williams, a St. Paul's Episcopal linebacker rated as the No. 2 prospect in the state according to's A-List, was one of five players from Alabama headed to the Windy City on Friday to take part in the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge at Soldier Field.

Also on the roster for the elite, invitation-only camp are Williams' St. Paul's teammate and fellow Auburn commit, offensive lineman Josh Casher; Alabama commitments Shaun Dion Hamilton of Carver-Montgomery and Bo Scarbrough of Tuscaloosa County; and uncommitted Hoover defensive back Marlon Humphrey, ranked on the A-List and by most recruiting services as the top prospect in the state.

One other Alabama commitment also is expected to participate in the Challenge: Galena Park (Texas) Northshore linebacker Zach Whitley. The roster includes 2014 and a small number of 2015 prospects.
