TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- The definition of a successful season for Alabama these days is no mystery.
Tight end Michael Williams says anything less than a national championship and undefeated season "is a failure."
The Crimson Tide has to a realistic shot at a third national title in four years and second straight, but the veterans know that a sense of entitlement and lack of focus can cost even a loaded team. They found that out in a disappointing 2010 season.
Coach Nick Saban says the offseason work has been much better following last year's championship campaign than following the 2009 title run. The Tide still must replace four first-round NFL draft picks and seven defensive starters.
They'll get challenged right away with a game against Michigan in Arlington, Texas.
