The Alabama Football Team is taking a different approach to it's preparation for the upcoming season. With 10 days until their first game, most teams would be planning for their first opponent.
Alabama is doing that, but the Crimson Tide is also doing more. The Tide is actually working on it's first three opponents.
Alabama will narrow it's focus to only Michigan in the days ahead, but Head Coach Nick Saban believes it's valuable to take a broader look at the schedule, and give his team a leg up on the first month of the season.
"I think it's really critical, and I think this has helped us in the past, that we spend time working on other opponents now, because, then when we play them that week, we're not starting from scratch," Saban said.
Alabama got some good training camp news on Wednesday, as running back Eddie Lacy returned to practice. Lacy has been battling a foot injury, but Saban says Lacy should be ready to play against the Wolverines on September 1st.
