Alabama-LSU: Not even Saban downplays magnitude

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Even Nick Saban isn't protesting too loudly that Alabama-LSU is just another game.

Saban says "it's probably hard for everybody" to view Saturday night's SEC West showdown that way. The top-ranked Crimson Tide faces one of the biggest remaining hurdles in its pursuit of a third straight national title.

The 10th-ranked Tigers are nearly two-touchdown underdogs still hoping to turn the season into something special after three-point losses to Georgia and Mississippi.

LSU tailback Jeremy Hill says a key to games like this is, "you just can't let it overwhelm you."

He says that's something Alabama has done well in big games.

The Tide is 15-4 against opponents ranked in the Top 10 over the past six seasons. LSU has beaten Alabama three times since 2007, more than anybody else.
