MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- South Alabama's season opener with Texas-San Antonio has been rescheduled because of Tropical Storm Isaac.
The game scheduled for Thursday night will now be played at 2 p.m. ET Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium with the storm moving toward the Gulf Coast.
South Alabama athletic director Joel Erdmanns says rescheduling the game was the logical decision after "consideration of numerous factors."
The Jaguars are in their transitional year as a Football Championship Subdivision team.
