Vanderbilt Signs Four-Year Deal With UMass

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Vanderbilt has finalized a deal with
Massachusetts for a four-game series starting in 2012.

Vice chancellor David Williams said Wednesday the teams will play twice in Nashville, with the first game on Oct. 27, 2012, and twice at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., home of the NFL's Patriots.

UMass announced in April its move from the Football Championship
Subdivision to the Football Bowl Subdivision starting with the 2012
season. The schools have played in men's basketball with Vanderbilt
winning in 2008 and 2009.
