KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee defensive coordinator Justin
Wilcox says the Volunteers have plenty of players with potential to
contribute on defense, but he's looking for players who are
productive during fall practice.
Malik Jackson is the only returning starter in Tennessee's front
seven on defense. The Vols return four starters in the secondary.
Wilcox said Thursday that it may take several games to settle on
a rotation on the defensive line and at linebacker, where the Vols
lost starter Herman Lathers when he broke his ankle in June. The
junior is expected to miss several games of the 2011 season.
Wilcox says the defense looks a bit bigger this season with the
addition of some larger linemen in the 2011 signing class.
