Tennessee Looking for Spark from Running Game

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Temptation still gets the best of Tennessee running back Rajion Neal every now and then.

No matter how often he reminds himself to stay between the tackles and take what's available, Neal can't help bouncing to the outside in search of a big play. A voice in his head tells Neal to run to the edge.

Neal says "that's a tailback's evil twin right there."

The habit is jeopardizing his starting spot.

Tennessee's depth chart for Saturday's game with Georgia State lists Neal, Marlin Lane and Devrin Young as co-starters.

Lane, the Vols' third-team tailback last week, gained 75 yards on nine carries in a 35-21 victory over North Carolina State. Neal ran 22 times for 53 yards and a touchdown. Young had minus-2 yards on two attempts.
