COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina has given athletic director
Eric Hyman a $75,000 raise.
The university's Board of Trustees approved the extra money Friday. Hyman did not get a contract extension and his deal with the school runs through 2015.
Hyman will make just under $500,000 next year. The deal comes just over a month after South Carolina's baseball team won its second straight national title.
The football team made it to its first ever Southeastern Conference title game last season. Hyman was mentioned in recent weeks in connection with open athletic director jobs at Tennessee and North Carolina, where he played football and earned an undergraduate degree.
Trustees also gave baseball assistant coach Chad Holbrook a two-year contract extension and $16,000 raise. He will make $176,000 a year through the 2015 season.
