KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The SEC attracts running quarterbacks
like Cam Newton and tailbacks like Mark Ingram because of the
emphasis the league puts on the ground game.

And the Southeastern Conference is living up its reputation
again this year.

The SEC has 13 players ranked among the top 100 runners in the
FBS - more than any other conference - and the league's teams are
averaging 173.3 yards rushing per game, just behind the Big Ten and
Pac-10.

The league's has run its way to the last three championships. And the top SEC teams this season also boast the league's best tailbacks and running quarterbacks, including Auburn's Newton, Alabama's Ingram, South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore and LSU tailback Steven Ridley.
