ESPN's Mark Schlabach is reporting a DNA analysis has confirmed that DNA provided by Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston matched the sample taken from the underwear of a woman who has accused him of sexual battery.

According to the report, the analysis was completed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Tuesday.

The DNA match does not prove that Winston sexually assaulted the woman, as the accuser's family claimed in a statement released Wednesday.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger told the Tallahassee Democrat Wednesday night Tallahassee police asked the agency to consult on forensics, but she could not confirm ESPN's report and the report was not provided by the agency.
