PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) - Highly recruited quarterback
Jacoby Brissett says he'll enroll at Florida this fall.
Brissett was one of the top recruits who remained unsigned on
Wednesday, when the vast majority of top prep players inked their
national letters of intent.
Brissett completed 63 percent of his passes for 2,743 yards and
32 touchdowns in 2010 for Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Dwyer High. He was the nation's top remaining uncommitted quarterback recruit.
He does not plan to send his letter to Florida until Monday.
Brissett told his mother of the decision by text message around
5 p.m. Friday, then publicly announced it at Dwyer's basketball
senior-night ceremony. Ellicia Brown says she will continue
lobbying her son to sign with Miami instead.
