FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - John Pelphrey isn't happy about being
fired at Arkansas.

Speaking Monday for the first time since he was let go a day
earlier, Pelphrey says he didn't agree with the decision and
doesn't feel he was given enough time to turn the Razorbacks

The coach was 69-59 in four seasons at Arkansas, finishing 23-12
his first season before bottoming out and missing the NCAA
tournament in each of his final three. The Razorbacks finished
18-13 this season and lost in the first round of the Southeastern
Conference tournament to Tennessee.

Pelphrey says he feels like he leaves the Arkansas program in
better shape than when he started, and he isn't sure of his
immediate plans for the future.
