Mississippi State men's basketball team could face three NCAA tournament teams from last season before it begins SEC play in January.
The Bulldogs revealed their non-conference schedule today and the slate features matchups against Florida Gulf Coast, the darling of last's year's Big Dance, Utah State and a possible meeting with Mountain West Conference runner-up UNLV.
"We have some very challenging games on this schedule against some proven teams that made the postseason last year," Mississippi State coach Rick Ray said in a statement released by the university. "Florida Gulf Coast is coming off a Sweet 16 run; Utah State has the 4th highest winning percentage in college basketball the past 11 years behind only Duke, Kansas and Gonzaga, and UNLV has made the NCAA Tournament four years in a row."
