Kilcrease Leads Tide To Win

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Nathan Kilcrease tied a career high
with 10 strikeouts, leading Alabama past Central Florida 5-3 in the
Tallahassee regional of the NCAA baseball tournament Friday.

Kilcrease (8-4), a senior right-hander appearing in his fourth
NCAA regional, pitched seven innings and walked four -- one forcing
in a run with the bases loaded in the fourth. The only other run he
gave up was a homer by Ronnie Richardson in the seventh.

Austin Smith led the Crimson Tide (34-26) with two RBIs,
including a home run in the top of the seventh.

Brian Adkins (6-5) allowed four runs and nine hits in six
innings in the loss for Central Florida (38-22).
