The Auburn defense will have a challenge this week slowing down the Arkansas offense, specifically quarterback Ryan Mallett.
The Hogs are scoring 30 points a game this season and Auburn's defense showed plenty of cracks against Kentucky last week.
Last year's Arkansas squad put up 44 points in a win over the Tigers. So, Auburn
Head Coach Gene Chizik knows plenty about what his defense is up against Saturday.
"Obviously he is a great quarterback,” Chizik said. “And, these probably collectively as a group, have got to be among the best, if not the best group of receivers in the country."
Meanwhile, Mallett thinks his offense can keep improving, especially in the second half. "On offense we've just got to execute better,” Mallett said. “We don't need to shoot ourselves in the foot. That's what hurt us the most is when we get penalties and things like that. We moved the ball and still had a lot of yards. But, need to put the ball in the endzone."
The Tigers and Hogs kick at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. You can see the game on WTVY News-4.
