Georgia's ground game could be edge vs. Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Georgia and Clemson are evenly matched in some areas.
The starting quarterbacks are Heisman Trophy contenders and both defenses are works in progress. But where the fifth-ranked Bulldogs clearly outshine the No. 8 Tigers is in the backfield with sophomore running backs Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall.
Georgia starts the season at Clemson on Saturday night at sold-out Death Valley, a marquee contest in college football's opening weekend.
Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray was selected the Southeastern Conference's top QB in preseason voting by league coaches. His Clemson counterpart, Tajh Boyd, is the reigning Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year.
Each defense is loaded with uncertainties and newcomers.
However, Georgia's "Gurshall" tandem gives the Bulldogs solid footing in the matchup. They combined for 2,144 yards and 25 touchdowns last year.
