Georgia Football Player Injured in Scooter Accident

Georgia sophomore defensive end Derrick Lott has suffered a lower leg injury, on his scooter. Lott had an accident on Friday, which required surgery.

He'll be out 4-6 weeks. The 6-foot-4, 303-pound lineman from North Cobb High School enters the fall as the back-up to DeAngelo Tyson at defensive end.

Lott was redshirted in 2009, after suffering an ankle injury. He played in three games last season, finishing with seven tackles, including one for loss.
