Georgia Duo Transferring

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Georgia coach Mark Richt says cornerback Derek Owens and running back Ken Malcome have left the team and plan to transfer.

Owens, a sophomore, had two tackles in three games this season. Richt said Malcome, a redshirt freshman, said before Wednesday's
practice he has fallen behind in the competition at tailback and wants a fresh start at another school.

Freshman Isaiah Crowell rushed for 147 yards on 30 carries in Georgia's 27-13 win at Mississippi last week. Malcome had one carry for no gain this season.

Meanwhile, junior linebacker Christian Robinson, returning from a foot injury, practiced Wednesday and is expected to play on Saturday against Mississippi State.
