Former Alabama long snapper Carson Tinker writing book about emotional 2011 season

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Carson Tinker's a three-time BCS national champion, he's been honored by governor Robert Bentley and he's in prime position to earn a full-time gig with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As he prepared for the NFL Draft and gone through off-season training activities with the Jaguars, the former Alabama long snapper worked to add another title to his resume: author.

Tinker confirmed to on Monday that he's writing a book about the emotional roller coaster he experienced during the Crimson Tide's 2011 season. It is being published by B&H Publishing Group, which could begin accepting pre-orders as soon as September, Tinker said.

"It will be from the tornado until we beat LSU in the BCS game," Tinker said in an interview with "It will cover a little bit about me growing up, the tornado, how the city came back, how I came back."
