GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida women's basketball coach Amanda Butler is getting two more years added to her contract.
Athletic director Jeremy Foley announced Wednesday that he has given Butler a two-year extension, essentially keeping her under contract through the 2016-17 season.
Foley says he likes the direction of the program and expects Butler to be "our coach for a long time."
Butler is the only coach to lead the program to the postseason in each of her first five years. Last season, the Gators made the NCAA tournament before falling to eventual national champion Baylor in the second round. Florida finished with at least 20 wins for the third time under Butler.
In five years, the Gators are 98-67 under Butler.
Butler says having Foley's "vote of confidence means everything."
