GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Florida coach Urban Meyer says
defensive tackle Dominique Easley is still with the team despite
not being on the travel roster last weekend.
Easley, a 280-pound freshman from Staten Island, N.Y., and one
of the top recruits in the nation last year, didn't travel with the
Gators to Vanderbilt. His absence stirred speculation he might
transfer, especially since he walked out of practice in August and
talked about playing significant snaps this season.
Instead, the five-star recruit considered the No. 2 defensive
tackle in the country has sat out three of the last four games.
Meyer says Easley has "to do things we ask him to do to be
involved." Meyer also says he believes they can work things out
and keep Easley at Florida.
